Svenn A. Hanssen
Chairman / Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Svenn has a master’s degree in computer science and is our working chairman of the board and primary contact in all matters regarding oceanbox.io. He is also the CEO of Serit Tromsø and chairman of the Serit Group. Svenn is currently enrolled at Warwick Business School for an Executive MBA degree.

Hilde S. Iversen
Chief Sales & Marketing Officer (CMO)
Hilde holds a masters degree in economy & business administration, and joins us from a position as marketing manager at Serit. She also has experience as technical consultant working with customers on cloud information structuring and data management projects. At Oceanbox Hilde is responsible for customer success, product presentation, and positioning, as well as company brand visibility.

Dr. Ole Anders Nøst
Chief Scientific Officer (CSO)
Ole Anders has more than 30 years of experience of research within dynamical oceanography. In his work he has combined observational data/field work, numerical modelling, laboratory experiments in rotating basins and geophysical fluid dynamics. For the last 10 years, he has been focusing on developing models for coastal ocean circulation.

Dr. Jonas Juselius
Chief Technology Officer (CTO)
Jonas has his education in quantum chemistry. He has worked with programming, scientific modeling and HPC for more than 20 years. For the past 6 years he headed development and innovation at Serit Tromsø, building software using F#, DevOps, and Kubernetes. He became a functional programming aficionado 10 years ago and has never looked back.

Dr. Frank Gaardsted
Senior scientist
Frank has his education in physical oceanography and marine ecology. His early work focused on physical-biological interactions through collection and analysis of a wide range of oceanographic and biological data. For the last 11 years, he has been working on the development and application of numerical models for solving practical problems in the coastal zone.

Dr. Stig Rune Jensen
Senior scientist
Stig Rune is an expert in numerical methods and modelling. He has his education in quantum chemistry, working on multi-wavelet based methods for electronic structure theory. He has previously also worked as a HPC specialist, with parallel programming and GPGPUs as his specialty.
